Abs Function Test

The ABS warning light is located in the instrument panel. ABS warning light will illuminate for one second when ignition is turned on. ABS warning light will go out and illuminate again until vehicle speed is approximately 5 MPH. If ABS warning light does not go out and illuminate again, does not go out when vehicle speed is more than approximately 5 MPH or illuminates during vehicle operation, then an ABS fault has been detected. When an ABS fault is detected, the message center will display ABS FAULT, ABS warning light will illuminate and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be stored in ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
