Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes

The first digit of the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) defines whether the DTC set is a Federally mandated DTC (P0xxx) or a Land Rover DTC (P1xxx). A Land Rover TestBook can retrieve and diagnose all DTCs. An OBD-II compliant scan tool can only retrieve and diagnose Federally mandated DTCs.
