Removal & Installation: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
CAUTION:
Before removing steering column and intermediate shaft, ensure front wheels are in a straight-ahead position. DO NOT turn steering wheel with intermediate shaft removed. Air bag system rotary coupler and/or steering wheel switches may be damaged.
