Toe Adjustment: Discovery

  1. Roll vehicle backwards and forwards to settle linkage. Install alignment equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Center steering wheel and check toe adjustment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If alignment is not okay, go to next step.
  2. Loosen track rod adjuster sleeve clamp bolts. See Fig 1. Turn adjuster sleeve until toe adjustment is correct. To ensure unrestricted working travel, tap track rod and drag link ends in direction of arrows. See Fig 2. Tighten adjuster sleeve clamp bolts to 10 ft. lbs. (14 N.m). Road test vehicle over an even surface. Ensure steering wheel alignment is okay and vehicle tracks straight. If steering wheel is not straight, see CENTERING STEERING WHEEL .
