Using Generic Scan Tool

Turn ignition off. Connect generic scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). On Discovery, DLC is located under steering wheel. On Range Rover, DLC is located in passenger footwell. On all models, turn ignition on. Follow tool manufacturer's instructions for reading fault codes.
