96.10.03 Drive Cycle 'C': Check
- Turn ignition key to position II for 30 seconds.
- Connect T4 to vehicle.
- Follow on screen prompts and check for engine management fault codes.
- Ensure engine coolant temperature is below 60 degrees C (140 degrees F)
- Start engine and allow to idle for 2 minutes.
- Carry out a road test and perform the following operations.
- Carry out 2 light accelerations from zero to 35 mph using light throttle pedal pressure.
- Carry out 2 medium accelerations from zero to 45 mph using moderate throttle pedal pressure.
- Carry out 2 hard accelerations from zero to 55 mph using heavy throttle pedal pressure.
- Accelerate to 60 mph and cruise for 5 minutes.
- Decelerate to 50 mph and cruise for 3 minutes.
- Road test is now complete.
- Allow engine to idle for 3 minutes.
- Connect T4 to vehicle.
- Follow on screen prompts and check for engine management fault codes.
- Follow on screen prompts and check for completeness of all associated Readiness Test results.
- Disconnect T4 from the vehicle.
- Faults in the following areas also have an associated Readiness Test that must be flagged as 'completed' before you can verify that the problem in that area is resolved. Although these tests are normally completed with a Drive Cycle 'C', select the Readiness Test icon to verify that the test has actually been flagged as completed. Faults found in the following areas must have an additional 'Readiness Test':
- Any Exhaust Catalyst fault.
- Any Evaporative Loss system fault.
