NOTE:
Only applicable to early type key fitted up to 12 model year.
ISSUE
Reports of key case bulging. See attached photo.
CAUSE
Keys were manufactured oversize.
ACTION
A number of improvements were made to the manufacture of the key when production moved from Cadiz, Spain to Yanfeng, China. See attachement.
- The country of Manufacture can be identified by unclipping the emergency key blade.
- With the clip for the emergency key blade at the bottom view the block of text to the left of the CE mark
- Keys from Cadiz, Spain have 'Made in Spain'
- Key from Yanfeng China have 'Made in China'
EPQR's are only required for issues with keys manufactured in China.
Please ensure you attach a photo to the EPQR showing this information.
