Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  1. Make the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) safe.

    Refer to: STANDARD WORKSHOP PRACTICES .

  2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Remove the driver airbag.

    Refer to: DRIVER AIRBAG MODULE .

  4. NOTE: Make sure that the harness is routed to the position noted on removal.

    • Remove the retaining screws.
    • Partially remove the paddle shifter.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Remove the paddle shifter.
  5. G11701195
    • Remove the retaining screw.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Remove the speed control switch.
