Condition is: open or short in EGR step motor circuit for more then one second or temperature of EGR temperature sensor (Calif. only) is less than 167°F (75°C) for 1-4 minutes with engine temperature more than 149°F (65°C). Probable cause: open or short in EGR step motor circuit, open EGR temperature sensor circuit or defective ECM.
