EVAP Thermal Valve

  1. Drain coolant. Remove thermal valve. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  under INTRODUCTION. Cool thermal valve to less than 104°F (40°C). Blow air into upper vacuum port. Air should NOT flow out of lower port.
  2. Heat thermal valve in water to greater than 138°F (59°C). Blow air into upper port. Air should flow from lower port. If air does not flow as specified, replace thermal valve.
