Engine Controls - Remove/Install/Overhaul: Introduction

Removal, overhaul and installation procedures are covered in this article. If component removal and installation is primarily an unbolt and bolt-on procedure, only a torque specification may be furnished.

WARNING: Air bag system uses a back-up power supply. Air bag system must be deactivated prior to performing any removal and installation procedures. Ensure ignition switch is in the LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable and wait at least 90 seconds before servicing vehicle.
