Brake System
CAUTION:
If vehicle is equipped with air suspension, turn air suspension switch off before lifting vehicle. Air suspension switch is located inside trunk, on left side.
- Ensure brake master cylinder reservoir is full. Bleed master cylinder first. Then, connect hose to wheel cylinder bleed screw and insert other end of hose in a clear container 1/4 full of clean brake fluid. Start on wheel with longest hydraulic line, and work toward wheel with shortest hydraulic line.
- Slowly pump brake pedal several times. While holding brake pedal down, loosen bleed screw until fluid starts to flow out, and then close bleed screw. Repeat operation until no bubbles are present in fluid. Tighten bleed screw to 74 INCH lbs. (8.3 N.m). See BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE table.
