Cold Start Injector Spray Pattern
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake chamber. Remove cold start injector from bottom of air intake chamber. Connect Injection Measuring Tool Set (9268-41045) between right fuel delivery pipe and cold start injector. See Fig 1. Place a container under cold start injector.
- Connect Jumper Wire (00843-18020) between terminals +B and FG of DLC No. 1. See Figure. Reconnect negative battery cable. Turn ignition on, engine off. Momentarily connect EFI Inspection Wiring (09842-30055) between fuel injector and a 12-volt battery.
- Replace cold start injector if fuel spray pattern is uneven or if more than one drop of fuel leaks from the injector tip within one minute of disconnecting EFI inspection wiring from battery.
