Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - OBD-II: Introduction: Notes

NOTE: All other models are not equipped OBD-II self-diagnostics. See TESTS W/CODES article for servicing information on these applications.

If no faults were found while performing BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to appropriate TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).

NOTE: Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will be referred to as trouble codes in this article.
