ACIS Circuit

CAUTION: If ECM replacement is instructed in following testing, always ensure ECM harness connector and ground circuit are okay. If either are suspect, repair and repeat testing to confirm ECM malfunction.
  1. Check ACIS Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV). See ACIS VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV) . If VSV is okay, access ECM behind glove box. Turn ignition on. Leave harness connectors attached to ECM. Backprobing connector, measure voltage between chassis ground and terminal No. 6 (Red/Yellow wire) at ECM E9 connector. See Figure.
  2. If battery voltage is not present, repair circuit between VSV and ECM. If battery voltage is present, check vacuum tank. See ACIS VACUUM TANK. If vacuum tank is okay, replace ECM.
