EVAP Canister
Visually inspect EVAP canister and hoses for cracks and damage. Disconnect hoses from EVAP canister ports "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E". See Fig 1. Plug port "E". Replace EVAP canister if it does not function as follows:
- Hold port "B" closed and blow air into port "A" on top of canister. Air should flow from port "D".
- Plug port "B" and "D" and blow air into port "A". Air should not flow from port "C".
- Connect a vacuum pump to port "B". Apply 1.01 in. Hg vacuum. With port "C" plugged, vacuum should hold. With port "C" unplugged, vacuum should release.
- Connect vacuum pump to port "A" and plug port "C". Apply 1.01
- Hg vacuum. Air should flow into port "B".
