Fuel Cut System Operation

  1. Remove engine cover. Start and warm engine to operating temperature. Turn A/C off. Use a stethoscope to listen for injector operating noise (or feel for vibration with finger).
  2. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM (GS300 and SC300) or 2500 RPM (GS400, LS400 and SC400). Release throttle lever. When throttle lever is released, injectors should stop operating momentarily until engine speed decreases to 1000 RPM (GS300 and SC300) or 1400 RPM (GS400, LS400 and SC400). Shut engine off. Remove scan tool.
