Key Interlock Solenoid
- Disconnect electrical connector from key interlock solenoid. Using DVOM, measure resistance between appropriate key interlock solenoid terminals. See KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID RESISTANCE table. If resistance is not within specification, replace key interlock solenoid. If resistance is within specification, go to next step.
- Connect jumper wire between positive battery terminal and key interlock solenoid terminal No. 1. Connect an additional jumper wire between ground and other key interlock solenoid terminal No. 2. Replace shift lock solenoid if operating sound cannot be heard.
