Shift Lock Control Switch
NOTE:
On Avalon (floor shift), Celica, Corolla, ECHO, ES300, GS300, GS400, RAV4 and RX300; shift lock control switch is incorporated in shift lock ECU. No voltage tests for shift lock control switch circuits are available.
- Access shift lock ECU. See Figure and Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between specified shift lock control switch terminals with switch in specified condition. See SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH VOLTAGES table. Ensure resistance is as specified.
- Disconnect electrical connector from shift lock control switch. Using DVOM, ensure continuity exists between specified shift lock control switch terminals in appropriate position and condition. See SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY table. Replace shift lock control switch if continuity does not exist as specified.SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH VOLTAGES
