Driver's & Front Passenger's Window

  1. Disconnect window motor harness connector. Apply positive battery voltage to terminal No. 2 and connect negative battery lead to terminal No. 1 at motor window harness connector. See Figure. Window motor should turn clockwise. Reverse polarity of voltage to window motor. Window motor should turn counterclockwise. If operation is not as specified, replace window motor.
  2. If battery voltage continues to be applied to window motor after window has stopped moving, a thermistor inside window motor should open in 4-90 seconds and window motor should stop. After thermistor opens, reverse polarity of voltage to window motor.
  3. Within 60 seconds, window motor should turn in opposite direction, indicating thermistor has closed. If operation is not as specified, replace window motor.
