Brake Pedal Height
- Disconnect brakelight switch connector and remove brakelight switch. Brake pedal height is measured from face of brake pedal pad to asphalt sheet under carpet. See Fig 1.
- Brake pedal height should be 5.92-6.31" (150.4-160.3 mm). If brake pedal height is not as specified, loosen brake pedal push rod lock nut. Adjust pedal height by turning push rod.
- After adjusting brake pedal height, tighten push rod lock nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Install and adjust brakelight switch. See BRAKELIGHT SWITCH . Check and adjust brake pedal free play. See BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY .
