No-Load Test
CAUTION:
DO NOT operate starter for more than 3-5 seconds.
Connect battery and ammeter to starter as indicated. See Figure or Figure . Perform STEP 4. Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily with pinion gear moving out. Amperage draw should be within specification. See NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONS table.
