Luggage Compartment Door Opener Switch

  1. Remove luggage compartment door opener switch assembly from lower left side of instrument panel. Check continuity between luggage compartment door opener switch terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Continuity should exist with switch on (switch pushed and key turned). Continuity should not exist with switch off (switch pushed and key not turned). If continuity is not as specified, replace door opener switch assembly and retest system operation. If continuity is as specified, go to next step.
  2. Check continuity between luggage compartment door opener switch terminal No. 2 and door opener switch terminal "B". See Fig 1. Continuity should exist with switch off (switch not pulled) and with switch on (switch pulled). Check continuity between luggage compartment door opener switch terminal No. 1 and door opener switch terminal "L". Continuity should only exist with switch on (switch pulled). If continuity is not as specified, replace door opener switch assembly and retest system operation.
