Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

  1. Ensure open door warning light illuminates when each door is opened, and turns off when all doors are closed. If open door warning light operates as specified, go to next step. If door open warning light operation is not as specified, check door open warning light circuit. See wiring diagrams in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. Repair as necessary.
  2. Remove wireless door lock ECU (leave wire harness connected). Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 14 (Red/White wire) at wireless door lock ECU harness connector. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, perform next inspection listed in symptom diagnosis table. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS . If battery voltage is not present, repair harness and/or connectors between wireless door lock ECU and door courtesy switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
