Removal & Installation : Removal

NOTE: Work must be started after 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.

Disconnect negative battery cable.
Loosen the pivot bolt, adjusting lock bolt, and adjusting bolt, and remove the drive belt. See Fig 1.

Disconnect the generator connector. Remove the nut, and disconnect the generator wire. Disconnect the wire harness from the clip. Remove the pivot bolt, plate washer, adjusting lock bolt and generator. Remove generator.
