On-Vehicle Inspection

Inspect intake air control system.
1. Using a 3-way connector, connect vacuum gauge to the actuator hose.
2. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC 3.
3. Start the engine.
4. Select the active test mode according to the message on the hand-held tester.

5. Shift transmission into "P" range and control the accelerator pedal.
6. Check the data monitor operation according to the illustration. See Fig 3.

NOTE: The value in the illustration is only for reference; the throttle valve may operate diversely depending on the running condition. See Fig 3.
