No-Load Test

Connect battery and ammeter to starter as indicated. See Figure. Perform STEP 4. Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily with pinion gear moving out. Amperage draw should be within specification. See NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONS  table.
