Rear Wheel Alignment: Inspection
- MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See step No. 1 or step No. 2 in INSPECTION )
- INSTALL CAMBER-CASTER-KINGPIN GAUGE ONTO WHEEL ALIGNMENT TESTER
Follow the specific instructions of the equipment manufacturer.
- INSPECT CAMBER
Camber:
- INSPECT TOE-IN
Toe-in:
- ADJUST CAMBER AND TOE-IN
- Adjust the camber.
- Remove the No. 2 lower suspension arm (See LOWER CONTROL ARM ).
- According to Fig 4, replace the No. 2 lower suspension arm.
- Install the No. 2 lower suspension arm (See LOWER CONTROL ARM ).
- Adjust the toe-in.
- Loosen the cams.
- Adjust toe-in by turning the front and/or rear cams.
- Torque the cam nuts.
HINT:
Toe change about 22.8 (0.38°) with each graduation of the cam.
Torque: 50 N.m (510 kgf.cm, 37 ft.lbf)
- Adjust the camber.
