Jam Protection Function Check
WARNING:
Never let any part of your body get caught when checking.
NOTE:
If performing resetting of the limit switch, check after repeating up and down of the glass with automatic operation.
NOTE:
If the jam protection is not functioning properly, adjust the power window motor reset switch and pulse switch. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (LIMIT SWITCH & PULSE SWITCH) RESET under ADJUSTMENTS.
- Confirm that the window will be fully closed with AUTO up operation.
- Check the operation of the jam protection function. Hold the handle of a hammer at the upper window jam.
- Move up the window with AUTO up operation and check that the window will go down when it touches the handle of the hammer.
- Confirm that the window will then stop going down about 7.874 in. (200 mm).
