Charging Systems: Generator: Installation

INSTALL GENERATOR
1. Install the generator with the bolt and nut.

  Torque: 39 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf)
2. Connect the generator connector.
3. Connect the generator wire with the nut and rubber cap.
4. Install the generator wire clamp to the cord clip on the generator.
INSTALL PS VANE PUMP PULLEY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL GENERATOR DRIVE BELT
Install the belt by turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise.

NOTE: The pulley bolt for the belt tensioner has a left - hand thread.
FULL ENGINE COOLANT
START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR LEAKS
RECHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL
PERFORM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 1
