Quarter Power Windows: Adjustment

  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY 
    1. Pull up the front portion of the seat cushion assembly, then remove it.

    NOTE: In the case, hold the base of the clip up to prevent the cushion frame from being distorted.
  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat headrest plate cover.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  3. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and wind deflector board assembly.
  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat headrest plate.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and rear seat headrest assembly.

    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back assembly.

  7. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSY RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the door scuff plate RH.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSY FRONT RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, release the 4 claws and remove the front seat outer belt garnish.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 6 screws and clip.
    3. Disengage the 4 clips, then remove the quarter trim panel RH.

  9. ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RH 
    1. Adjust the upper part of the glass inward/outward.
      1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window assy.
      2. Using a hexagon wrench, turn the bolt for adjustment.

    2. Adjust the lower part of the glass inward/outward.
      1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window assy.
      2. Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside outside).

    3. When the window is fully closed, adjustment the vertical position of the glass.
      1. Loosen the 3 bolts on the glass for adjustment.

        Vertical position: +/-3 mm (+/- 0.12 in.) 

      2. Only when the adjustment is not sufficient at (1), change the position of the door window upper stop for further adjustment.

    NOTE:
    • When the glass raised, it should reach the 2 upper stops simultaneously.
    • Manually close the quarter window assy (See MANUAL CLOSE OPERATION ).

  10. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSY FRONT RH 
  11. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSY RH 
  12. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 

    Torque: 

    Bolt: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

    Nut: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 63 in.lbf)
