Yaw Rate Sensor Zero Point Calibration
NOTE:
When replacing the yaw rate sensor assembly, deceleration sensor or ECU, make sure to perform yaw rate and deceleration sensor's zero point calibration. Be sure to complete procedure once it is started.
- Shift the shift lever to "P" position and turn the ignition switch ON. Repeat connecting and disconnecting Ts and CG terminals of DLC3 four times or more for 8 seconds. See Fig 1. Check that the VSC indicator light is lit indicating the recorded zero point is erased.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3. Ensure vehicle is stationary and shift lever is in "P" position. Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Do not move the vehicle for 15 seconds or more. At this time the VSC warning light is on for 15 seconds and goes off. Zero point calibration for yaw rate sensor is completed.
- Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration. See DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION .
