- Check that the shift lever is at "P" position. Turn the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
- Start the engine and check that the "VSC TEST" is displayed on the multi-information display. If the "VSC TEST" does not display, check the VSC warning indicator circuit and Ts terminal circuit. See SYSTEM TESTING .
- Shift the lever to the "D" range and drive the vehicle at approximately 3 mph (5 km/h). Stop the vehicle and shift the lever to "P" position. Ensure the VSC buzzer sounds for 3 seconds.
- If the VSC buzzer sounds, the sensor check is normal. If the buzzer does not sound, check the VSC buzzer circuit. Then do the sensor check again. See SYSTEM TESTING .
- If the buzzer still won't sound, there is a malfunction in the VSC sensor. Check the DTC. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Using special tool (09843-18040) connect terminals Tc and CG of DLC3. See Figure.
- Read the number of displays on the multi-information display.
