Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure there are no foreign objects on the sensor or the rear axle carrier where the sensor is installed. Ensure the sensor is installed flat against the rear axle carrier. Tighten bolt holding speed sensor to axle carrier to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install sensor harnesses and tighten the clamp bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Pull in the sensor wire harness with the grommet and connect the speed sensor connector.
  4. Install the rear seat components and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Check speed sensor signal. See ABS SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK  under COMPONENT TESTS.
