Quarter Power Windows: Adjustment
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- INSPECT QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RH
- Check that the clearance is within the standard value.
- ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RH
- Adjust the lower part of the glass inward/outward.
- Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window assy.
- Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside/outside).
HINT:
The shim should be inserted between the power window regulator and body.
- Tighten the 2 bolts after adjustment.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 ft.lbf)
- Adjust the upper part of the glass inward/outward.
- Remove the lock nut for the adjusting bolt.
- Using a hexagon wrench, turn the bolt for adjustment.
- Tighten the nut after adjustment.
Torque: 13.0 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
- Adjust the glass vertically and forward/rearward.
- Loosen the 3 bolts on the glass for adjustment.
- Adjust the vertical and forward/rearward positions of the glass.
- Vertical position: +/- 3 mm (+/- 0.12 in.)
- Horizontal position: +/- 5 mm (+/- 0.20 in.)
- Tighten the 3 bolts after adjustment.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 ft.lbf)
- Install the glass stopper.
HINT:
When the window is fully closed, adjust the position so that the window touches the 2 stoppers at the same time.
- Adjust the lower part of the glass inward/outward.
