Microphone ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.

REMOVE MAP LAMP ASSY
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 coutesy lenses.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. Remove the 2 screws.
3. Disconnect the connector and then remove the map lamp assembly.

REMOVE MICROPHONE ASSY
1. Cut the tapes as shown in Fig 2.

2. Remove the screw and microphone bracket.

3. Remove the microphone part.
4. Using a screwdriver, pull out the retainer from the map lamp connector.

5. Remove the 2 terminals of the microphone assembly, and remove the microphone assembly from the map lamp connector.
INSTALL MICROPHONE ASSY
1. Install the 2 terminals of the microphone assembly to the map lamp connector

2. Push the retainer into the map lamp connector.
3. Install the microphone assembly with the screw and microphone bracket.

4. Align the microphone cord with the wire harness of the map lamp from the connector side and fix the cord with tapes in one place.

5. Cover the microphone cord together with the wire harness with tube and fix the tube with tape in one place.
6. Fix the excessive cord of the microphone in one place.
