- USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Hook up the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Monitor the ECU data by following the prompts on the tester screen.
HINT:
Hand-held tester has a "Snapshot" function which records the monitored data.
Refer to the hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
- DTC CLEAR
- The DTC and freeze frame data will be erased by either action.
Operate the OBD II scan tool (complying with SAE J1978) or hand-held tester to erase the codes. (See the OBD II scan tool's instruction book for operating instructions.)
- The DTC and freeze frame data will be erased by either action.
- DATA LIST
HINT:
According to the DATA LIST displayed by the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the method to shorten the labor time.
- Connect the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- According to the display on tester, read the " DATA LIST".
Standard [Driver side J/B (body ECU) (Data list of switch signal by DTC check)]:
HINT:
DTC No. B1221 and B1223 are the codes to inform of each switch condition and will be output when the switch is ON. In that these codes are displayed operating the switch or the switch or the codes are not displayed even with operating the switch, there may be trouble in the switch circuit.
Standard [Power window regulator master switch (driver's door ECU)]:
Standard [Power window regulator switch (passenger's door ECU)]:
HINT:
"1" With the jam protection limit switch ON, the function of the jam protection will stop. If the switch does not come ON at the position where the windows are almost fully open, the windows will not fully close as the jam protection operates at the upper potion during the automatic UP performance.

Standard [Power window regulator switch (passenger's door ECU]:
HINT:
The next data list is possible when the power window operated with "Manual UP" during the Active Test.
