How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

The hand-held tester can be used in steps 3, 4, 5 and 7.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
2. See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK   ) 
   1. Confirm problem symptoms.
3. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 
   1. Check for DTCs.

   DTC is not output.	A
   DTC is output.	B

   B: GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 

   A: Go to next step 

4. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See  PRECAUTION  ) 
   1. Check for DTCs.
   DTC OUTPUT RESULT TABLE
   
   

   Malfunction is not detected.	A
   Malfunction is detected.	B

   B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See  PRECAUTION  ) 

   A: Go to next step 

5. CHECK DTC (See  DTC CHECK/CLEAR   ) 
   1. Check for DTCs.
      1. Record the DTCs.
   2. Clear the DTCs.
   3. Recheck for DTCs.
   1. Simulate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

   DTC is output.	A
   DTC is not output.	B
   DTCs are not output, and the malfunction can not be simulated or checked.	C

   B: Go to step 10

   A: Go to next step
