VVT Sensor (3MZ-FE): Replacement

REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 2 (W/ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 2)
1. Remove the clip, 2 screws and 2 bolts
2. Slide the engine under cover No. 2 toward the rear to detach it from the retainers, and then remove the engine under cover No. 2.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO.2
(See step 3 in REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSY (See step 4 in REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE VVT SENSOR
1. Disconnect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.
2. Remove the 2 bolts, and then remove the 2 VVT sensors.

INSTALL VVT SENSOR
1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the VVT sensor.
2. Install the 2 VVT sensors with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
3. Connect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.
INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSY (See step 11 in REPLACEMENT )
INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 2 (See step 12 in REPLACEMENT )
CHECK CONNECTION OF VACUUM HOSE (See REPLACEMENT )
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 2 (W/ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 2)
