System Outline

When the ignition SW is ON and the driver's seat belt is not used, the warning light on the combination meter blinks and the buzzer sounds at the same time to warn the driver. As for the front passenger's seat, only when the built-in occupant detection sensor in the buckle SW RH detects that the front passenger is seated, the system warns the passenger by the warning light (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or the multi-display (w/LEXUS navigation system).

If the front door on the driver's side is opened with the ignition key inserted in the cylinder and the ignition SW is OFF or ACC, the buzzer sounds to prevent the driver from forgetting to pull out the ignition key.
