Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Inspection

INSPECT E.F.I. ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
1. Resistance inspection.
  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminals.
    Resistance:
    
    Approx. 20°C (68°F): 2.32 to 2.59 kΩ
    
    Approx. 80°C (176°F): 0.310 to 0.326 kΩ
    
    NOTE: In case of checking the water temperature sensor in the water, be careful not to allow water to go into the terminals, and after checking, dry the sensor.
