Knock Sensor: Replacement

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See PRECAUTION )
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR
1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
2. Using SST, remove the sensor.

INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR
1. Using SST, install the sensor.
  SST 09816-30010
  
  Torque: 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)
2. Connect the sensor connector.
INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION (See INITIALIZATION )
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
ADD ENGINE COOLANT
CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See COOLING SYSTEM )
CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See PRECAUTION )
