On-Vehicle Inspection
- CONNECT INTELLIGENT TESTER
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine and run it at idle.
- Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester.
HINT:
Refer to the intelligent tester operator's manual for further details.
- INSPECT ACTUATOR MOTOR OPERATION NOTE: Do not keep a motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. When operating it continuously, set an interval of more than 20 seconds.
- With the motor relay on, check the actuator motor operation sounds.
- Turn the motor relay off.
- Depress the brake pedal and hold it for approximately 15 seconds. Check that the brake pedal cannot be depressed farther.
- With the motor relay on, check that the pedal does not pulsate.
- Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.
- INSPECT RIGHT FRONT WHEEL OPERATION NOTE: Do not turn on a solenoid in a manner different than described below.
- Depress the brake pedal and hold it.
- Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids on simultaneously, and check that the pedal cannot be depressed.
- Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids off simultaneously, and check that the pedal can be depressed.NOTE: Do not keep a motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. When operating them continuously, set an interval of more than 20 seconds.
- Turn the motor relay on and check that the pedal returns.NOTE: Do not keep a motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. When operating it continuously, set an interval of more than 20 seconds.
- Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.
- INSPECT OTHER WHEEL OPERATION
- Using the same procedure, check the solenoids of the other wheels.
HINT:
- Left front wheel: SFLH, SFLR
- Right rear wheel: SRRH, SRRR
- Left rear wheel: SRLH, SRLR
- Using the same procedure, check the solenoids of the other wheels.
