Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    1. Install a new gasket to the sensor.
    2. Install the sensor.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install a new gasket to the sensor.
  2. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See  CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR  ) 
  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See  CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR  ) 
  5. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See  CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR  ) 
  6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See  CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR  ) 
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  9. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  10. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS 
    1. Check for engine coolant leaks (see COOLING SYSTEM ).
