How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

*: Use the intelligent tester.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    HINT:

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the intelligent tester, inspect the CAN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system.

      Result

      No DTCs output A
      DTCs output B

    B: PROCEED TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the intelligent tester, inspect the multiplex communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system.

      Result

      No DTCs output A
      DTCs output B

      HINT:

      The skid control ECU sends the signals of each warning light to the gateway ECU via CAN communication, and the gateway ECU sends the signals to the combination meter via the multiplex communication system (BEAN).

  5. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
  6. CLEAR DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA*
