Shift Lever Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the transmission floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9.0 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the connector on the transmission floor shift assembly.
  2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the transmission control cable assembly with the clip, from the floor shift lever assembly.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    NOTE:
    • Protrusion facing upward.
    • When the nut is remove, be sure to tighten the nut.
  3. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL ASSEMBLY 
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
  6. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the floor shift lever knob sub-assembly.
  7. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
  8. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  9. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
  10. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ADJUSTMENT   )
