Transmission Control Cable: Installation

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the transmission control cable assembly with the nut and clip from the transmission control cable bracket.
    2. Pull in the transmission control cable assembly to the body.

    3. Connect the transmission control cable assembly with the nut clip, from the floor shift lever assembly.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Protrusion facing upward.
      • When the nut is remove, be sure to tighten the nut.

    4. Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL ASSEMBLY 
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
  5. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  6. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  7. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
  8. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ADJUSTMENT   )
