DTC Check / Clear

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Connect the Intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester ON.
    4. Enter the following menus:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / CHASSIS / AIR SUSPENSION / DTC INFO/
      2. Techstream - Select: Chassis / Air suspension / Trouble Codes /
    5. Read the DTCs by following the prompts on the tester screen.

      HINT:

      Refer to the Intelligent tester operator's service information for further details.

    6. Refer to the "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART " for DTC information .
  2. CLEAR DTC 

    HINT:

    After repairing the malfunctions, clear the DTCs.

    1. Connect the Intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester ON.
    4. Enter the following menus:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / CHASSIS / AIR SUSPENSION / DTC INFO/
      2. Techstream - Select: Chassis / Air suspension / Trouble Codes /
    5. Erase the DTCs by following the prompts on the tester screen.

      HINT:

      Refer to the Intelligent tester operator's service information for further details.

  3. CHECK DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE)

    1. Adjust the vehicle height to normal.
    2. Turn the engine switch off.
    3. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

      SST 09843-18040 

    4. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    5. Read and record any DTCs from the height control indicator light (HEIGHT HIGH) on the combination meter.
    6. Refer to Fig 1 for examples of a normal system code and codes 13 and 33.

      HINT:

      • If the height control indicator light does not indicated any DTCs or the normal system code, inspect the indicator circuit or TC and CG terminal circuit.
        DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE)

        Indicator circuit INDICATOR CIRCUIT 
        TC and CG terminal circuit TC AND CG TERMINAL CIRCUIT 
      • If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC is displayed first.
    7. Refer to the "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART " for DTC information .
    8. After completing the check, turn the engine switch off and remove SST from the DLC3.

  4. CLEAR DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and depress the brake pedal 8 times or more within 5 seconds. (Make sure the stop light switch turns ON and OFF for each depression of the brake pedal.)
    4. Check that the "HEIGHT HIGH" indicator light is outputting a normal code.
      NOTE: If the code was not erased, repeat all of the procedures above.
    5. Turn the engine switch off and remove SST from the DLC3.
