Height Control Compressor: Removal
CAUTION:
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (see SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
).
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Partially remove the fender liner.
HINT:
It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the compressor can be removed.
- REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR
- Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.
- Disconnect the height control filter from the front bumper reinforcement.
- Disconnect the height control tube (see SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM ).
- Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and height control compressor with bracket.
- Detach the 3 clamps.
- Detach the connector's claw and remove the connector from the bracket.
- Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushings and bracket from the compressor.
