Knock Sensor: Removal

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY

REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body.
2. Disconnect the vapor feed hose.
3. Disconnect the throttle body connector and clamp.

4. Disconnect the ventilation hose No. 2.
5. Disconnect the union to check valve hose.

6. Disconnect the connector.

7. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.
8. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and intake air surge tank.
9. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank.
REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR
1. Disconnect the 2 knock sensor connectors.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and then remove the 2 knock sensors.
